KURT VILE

After stopping at the Cumbys, we were off. The Big Cheese cards and Snicker wrappers carpeted the floor as our heads ached with every sip. Then we stopped at a red. We sat there tapping our feet agitatedly in unison as he thumped the steering wheel and anxiously glanced upwards. It was too nice out and we were too excited to be pinned in this clustered city for the next minute. The light flashed green and we dipped a left onto route 8. As we continued driving and hills began to replace buildings while the warm wind pushed my hand back, I was glad to finally be moving at the same the pace of the day. I pulled my arm back in and glanced down at the cluttered floor, grabbing the ipod with a certain song in mind:

It's been a good year. Stay tuned for more Rmc this summer. Ward and I will be killing the airwaves and trying to figure out how to spend the most money possible (not ours) on the station.

Lemming Syndrome

WRMC has officially joined the conformist masses and acquired an official Facebook page.
Just one more way to keep you connected to your favourite radio station.
It needs some serious embellishment, so if you have any sweet photos pf 'RMC events, interesting history of the station, or other information to share with WRMC fans in the world of Facebook, please post them.

Dan Deacon @ Higher Ground

Tomorrow Night, Tuesday May 12 in the Higher Ground Showcase Lounge, Dan Deacon will be rocking bodies and melting faces with his unique electronic brand of chaos-dance-electro-funfest.

Deacon's new album, Bromst, came out a few weeks ago and this tour is Deacon's debut with an instrumental ensamble, playing many of the new tunes with instrumentation and converting many older favorites from Spiderman of the Rings too.

Sick of seeing shows with only one dope band while the opener is painful to listen to?
How about Future Islands?
This Wham City band's eighties style vocals, pop melodies, and electronic fusion will surely make for some delightful musical foreplay.

So what have you learned today? Go buy tickets!

See you at the show!
