Most people recognize Solange Knowles (right) as being Ms. Best Video of the Year (Beyonce Knowles)'s younger sister. Some (probably not many) may recognize Solange Knowles as the essential voice to the theme song of Disney's Proud Family.She has come a long way since then having collaborated with various underground rappers such as Theophilus London and now is using her talents to create a quite soulful cover of Dirty Projectors "Stillness Is The Move".
This track definitely needs to be recognized as it so creatively utilizes the classic Isaac Hayes sample from "Bumpy's Lament" to create a melody so similar to the original Dirty Projectors' that it's recognizable, but so different that she can claim it as her own.
