School is in full swing for us young 'uns. Regular broadcasting has begun. (Check out the official website for show times) Regina Spektor plays in two days, followed by WRMC's second installation of the Fall Frenzy LNDP series down in Modapalooza land. I have sea urchin embryos growing right now and they make me feel like God;)
Wale (Nike Boots) - "Officially known as the Nike Air Max Goadome, the Nike Boot has been the foundation of DC fashion since its debut...Versatile, durable and all around awesome, the Nike Boot is a lot like Wale. Coming from the only place in America with no congressional representation, Wale truly is the Ambassador of Rap for the Capital."
Nike Boots (zshare)
50 Cent (Hollerboard) - Chubby Cox brings us a fresh take this 50 song. yeah kanye's album was better, but everyone loves JT. right?
Ayo Technology (Chubby Cox Space Jam Mix) (zshare)
Melomanics (Discodust) - the second time i've been mind-f$%ked by a mr. miyagi remix.
Get You (Mr. Miyagi Mix) (zshare)
Cassius (15 Again) - Dakota found this on the table in the station yesterday. i haven't been the same since.
Rock Number One (zshare)
The Chemical Brothers (The Salmon Dance EP) - one more time cause we love it. and because they sent us a bag of Swedish fish with the EP.
The Salmon Dance Herve Remix (zshare)
Iron and Wine (The Shepherd's Dog) - This album is beautiful in a beautiful way. For anyone that's been waiting for it to drop since the EP this summer, it's everything and more.
Carousel (zshare)
SoCalled (Ghettoblaster) - Yiddish rap? Jewish cowboys? Jacques Grober? Yeah.
You Are Never Alone (zshare)
Sebastian Grangier (Mercurius FM)- Mercurius FM is from Phoenix, AZ. you heard his Chromeo rework last week, now here's a Sebastian Grangier mix you can dance your face off to.
When You Go Out (Mercurius Disco Love Remix) (zshare)
MGMT (Oracular Spectacular) - this is weird and awesome at the same time.
Electric Feel (zshare)
DJ Skeet Skeet (Destination Calabria) - i've had nothing but love for everything skeet skeet has put out this year, and this calabria remix is just straight epic.
SkeetSkeet Intro (zshare)
Tetine - "Tropical punk of the sexual life of the savages." And then remix it.
Horny (Zombie Disco Squad Remix) (zshare)
Alberta Cross (The Thief and the Heartbreaker) - Solid alt. folk/country from...London? wtf.

UNDERWORLD!!!! they have a new EP which of course means that a new album is on the way and after hearing this track i am pumped as shit to hear the whole thing. enjoy the remix as well. its 8mins+ of trance-filled bliss;)
Diplo. He's cooler than the other side of your pillow and he's spent the past few years showing the world why Baltimore may be the coolest place on Earth. Now, I'm happy to bring to you all: Diplo - The BBC Radio1 Essential Mix. 2 hours of Bmore-iffic awesomeness. If this doesn't get you dancing, you must not have ears;)
Here are a few tracks sent over from the electrolicious Plushgun. Based in Brooklyn, Plushgun uses his classical music training to the max to produce some of the most pleasantly poppy, indie-credible electronica being played today. His new EP is the dankest and the even brander newer song Dancing in a Minefield is completely addictive, so be careful.

Plushgun - Just Impolite (zshare)
so we're pretty heavy on hiphop and 'tronica this week, but hey i'm happy, and after you cop these tracks I know you will be too. in other news, programming is complete and starting sunday night WRMC 91.1FM will be providing you with the most delicious radio programming in the champlain valley, 24hrs/day 7days/week. and one more thing, our computers are happy again and automation is back in action so we are no longer playing elliot smith on repeat. til next week;)
Well, for now Bush is keeping 160,000 troops in Iraq until next summer and then cutting back to 130,000. Petraeus "doesn't know" whether the surge is making America safer. 50 Cent "might not make another solo album". And Led Zepplin "might have confirmed that they are reuniting". Conflicts make headlines and headlines can convince you to pay more taxes or buy shitty hip-hop albums and at the end of the day, somebody makes a lot of money. And it's probably Robert Murdoch.
If everybody in the world banged their heads against a wall at the same time, there would be enough friction energy created to power the bombing of a small Iraqi village. Luckily, yesterday nobody even blinked an eye.
Oh, and Kanye's album is sooo much better.
Kanye West - Good Life ft. T-pain
ward's getting pissed and wants us to stop using his name, but i haven't been able to think of anything better in the past 24 hours so he'll have to deal with it for another week. in the mean time, we present a boatload of new music for your listening enjoyment;)
the infamous charles requina is back and his new site is sooooo beautiful! so go visit REPERTOIRER right now and learn how to dance, you stupid hispters. btw, i'm totally buying this hoody;)
Running low on music that I took from the station (and Bobby) before closing up for the summer. As a result, some of these songs are just posted from the blogosphere to get you excited about music we will have soon. Because I have faith that Britney will send us her whole album when it is done.
So you just released a major album in the hip-hop world and you want to expand your listening base to a more diverse audience. Like those crazy rave kids. So you package up your single, send it across the pond to Amsterdam and into the mailbox of dj ESTAW, who will crank up the tempo, drop four on the floor and add just enough saw-tooth synth to make everyone bounce just right. Voila: hoptronica at its finest.
50 Cent - I Get Money, Estaw Gets Cash Refix*
Pharoah Monche - Simon Says, Estaw Says Refix
Lupe Fiasco - Kick, Push, Estaw, Coast Remix

This is where we'll let you know what's hot on campus. It's Vermont, so sometimes the list is a little short. Check up weekly to see where the WRMC Dance Party will be at.
Stay tuned for an updated post about concerts - including E603 and Dan Deacon.
Also, feel free to contact us if you are an artist, band, label or distributor and think we'd be interested in your music. Same goes if you're playing a gig in either NYC,
